Extract 1646 RS 12/8/67 sasine Ayr 8 Dec 1646
1646 Dec MARIE KENNEDY, eldest daughter of the deceased JAMES KENNEDY of BLAQUHYNE, presented a precept of sasine which had been granted by JAMES Neibit of GREINHOLME in her favour, following on a contract of marriage which had been drawn up between JAMES Neisbit and MARIE KENNEDY on the 6 December instant
At Irving, on the 8 December 1646, compeared Adam Mure, servitor to Dame Margaret Campbell, Lady Cunninghamheid and presented this Instrument of Sasine to be registered
On the 8 December 1646, Adam Mure, acting as attorney for MARIE KENNEDY, eldest daughter of the deceased JAMES KENNEDY of BLAQUHYNE, presented a precept of sasine which had been granted by JAMES Neibit of GREINHOLME in her favour, following on a contract of marriage which had been drawn up between JAMES Neisbit and MARIE KENNEDY on the 6 December instant.
In the precept of sasine, JAMES Neisbit had appointed Duncan Tosache, servitor to John Campbell, Lord Glenurquhy to act as his baillie to give sasine to MARIE KENNEDY of her liferent out of his 40 shilling lands of AUCHINRUGLAND; his 20 shilling lands of GREINHOLME and his 20 shillings and 4 penny lands of TULLOCHE, then occupied by John Patersone and other tenants, all lying in the parish of GALSTOUNE, bailliary of Kylestewart and Sheriffdom of AYR. The precept had been written at Newmylne on the 8 December 1646 by William Mitchell, writer and common clerk of Ayr and witnessed by Charles Lyall, notary in Newmylne, Adam Mure, servitor to the said Lady Margaret Campbell, the said William Mitchell and George Campbell in Calsayheid of Loudoune.
Giving of sasine was witnessed by James Campbell in Newmylne, George Campbell in Calsayheid of Loudoune, Robert Patersone in Lenfeind, Andrew Patersone there, James Morisoune in Greinholme and George Lambie younger in Preistland
